What about things inside Sony's VAIO Z

Lest's see what about the WiFi module inside Sony's business class notebook.
VAIO Z series.The Wifi module locates in the center. It equips an 802.11a/b/g/n solution.
As you can see, there were three antenna connectors for the smart antenna (MIMO) system.

 As for the upper right hand corner hosts a 3G module from Qualcomm's solution, called GOBI 2000. It's sim-locked and only available for specific carrier.

Also, these anntenna connector are from Hirose's U.FL solution. That's pretty often to see on notebook or any wireless devices sell locally in Japan market.

HP's New Probook 6440b Wifi module

HP has released it's notebook for business users.
The wifi moudle is INTEL's WiFi Link 1000 for 802.11b/g/n.

Again, the module adops Aux1 and aux2 with mini-coaixal connectors.
It seems like the I-PEX equivalent connector. un..Interesting!!

MacBook Unibody 2010 Teardown!!

Apple quitely update its entry level notebook, MacBook Unibody.
Form factor is the same as the previous unibody, except the batter life imporvement and CPU speed upgrade.

The I-PEX/U.fl micro-coaxial connecotor was found in one place.

Apple's Airport/Bluetooth Borad. Two IPX MHF receptacles for the wireless 802.11abgn and one for Bluetooth connection.

SONY new colorful VAIO P gets disectted!!

Sony's long awaited VAIO P get new series lineup.
It's colorful and light weighted as 595g!!
Antenna connectors are found and there are four U.FL (I-PEX) connectors inside this small gadget.
Wireless Antenna and Pointing devise (???). Take a close look at that.
